“I leave you my portrait so that you will have my presence all the days and nights that I am away from you.” – Frida Kahlo
Last Summer I ventured to Boston, Massachusetts to photograph this incredible woman with her two beauties. Rebecca reached out to me because she wanted to have portraits taken with her daughters. She recognized the importance of being present in photos with her girls. She stepped completely out of her comfort zone and allowed me to capture their amazing connection and unique personalities. This is the exact reason why I created the Megan Marie Photographer Heirloom Session Experience.
When you choose to have a photo session it’s important to recognize “why” you want to have your portrait taken. A portrait is your legacy. Our children are growing up in a digital age where all of their childhood memories will be stored on computers and phones. It’s my passion to share the importance of printing your beautiful portraits for our children to have hanging on their walls for generations. I can’t help but wonder what it will be like when Rebecca’s girls share their portraits with their own children one day.
